Calaruega

All of us deserves a good break, the wonderful fresh air to breathe in and a wonderful ambiance to reflect and refresh our weary soul. Which is why I am thankful last Wednesday (July 28) that I was inside the bus with all my classmates from 4AD2 on our way to Calaruega situated somewhere in Nasugbu, Batangas for a 3 day retreat.

I was a refreshing experience to bond with people whom I've been for just a couple of months and with my long time blockmates as we share our experiences and to get ourselves open and let out all the pain inside of us. Aside from the usual wonderful talks and all the Calaruega is a truly spectacular place to visit to bad we visited during the rainy season the weather did not allowed much photographic opportunities, so just enjoyed a couple of photos I took.

I just hate yesterday's weather it is very unpredictable jeez but no point in complaining at least I got to shoot for awhile haha. Anyway I would like to thank my friend Magu for letting me borrow his GND filter and because of that I now know why is that having a Neutarl Density filter a must for photographers.

Cinemalaya 6

Cinemalaya, Philippines' premiere independent film festival was held last July 9 up until July 18, 2010 at CCP. This is my 3rd year attending the festival. My first time to attend the festival for 4 days and watch shorts. Sad to say I am a bit disappointed because the management caused confusion to the viewers because of their lousy ticketing system. Next year I'll buy a day pass so that I could watch without the big hassle. Anyway let us not ruin the festival because of that.  I am still a fan of indie movies because they are raw, creative and full of talent. And next year I will attend the awards night.

I've been keeping myself busy for the past few weeks and all this hardcore studying should be rewarded! LOL!
Well I got myself a new lens a Canon 10-22mm USM which I will be using mainly for my thesis. As for now I'm just going to play around for it and get familiar with how it works so for now enjoy some shots taken using it.
