If there was one photographer who live and very much showed his love for the place where he lived in it's Gyula Halász or more commonly known as George Brassaï or Brassaï for short. A Hungarian artist who did a lot of creative work like making sculptures, films, drawing and above all photography. Brassaï first worked as a journalist for a Hungarian newspaper but later moved to Paris wherein he stayed there for all his life.

Most of Brassaï's photographs are captured around Paris because he fell in love with the city and because he loved it so much he often wander late in the evening so that he could capture the beauty of Paris by night.

Most of his photographs feature Parisians enjoying their time inside the pub down to the brothels and prostitutes of Paris. Brassaï even photographed some of the most famous artists such as Dali, Picasso and Henri Matisse. Brassaï  also went to America and took photographs there. What is amazing is Brassaï's photographs around Paris is that he was able to capture the beauty and the darkness Parisian night life in intimate details.

"Chance is always there. We all use it. The difference is a poor photographer meets chance one out of a hundred times and a good photographer
meets chance all the time."
