Alison Scarpulla's Magical Images.

Alison Scarpulla has created this beautiful dreamy and fairy tale like images using expired films, moldy lens and then dunking the negatives to wine or acid and blowing smoke onto the negative. This method gives her images that dark and mysterious feel something like a scene from Pan's Labyrinth.

Triptychs of Strangers by Adde Adesokan

Germany-based street photographer Adde Adesokan made a rather different way of creating street portraits. Instead of the usual one frame portrait what he did  is he shot three different parts of the subject to create a one unique frame. I am digging this series because to be honest doing street portraits is not a walk in the park, you need to connect to your subject for you to get the shot and not only that you also have the usual factors like lighting, background and such to take in mind before you press the shutter.

Not only did Adde took these really awesome photos he also shared his story behind the images and how he met these people.

In light with the premiere showing of the much anticipated film The Avengers (which I will watch tonight for free) I found this really awesome still life photos made by Portland based advertising agency Wieden + Kennedy for Target. Seems that the stuff used to create every piece is sold in Target.

Photography Inspiration: Patrick Rochon

Patrick Rochon was first introduced to me by my good friend Gerome back in our college days when we are going nuts about light painting. After going through his website for the first time back then I learned that he shoots using a film camera, his body of work was so astounding that it often leaves me wondering how the hell was he able to shoot that?

Patrick Rochon started his flair in light painting in 1992, and has been commissioned in different assignments from shooting advertisements for cars to posters of events and even in live events.

Daily Photography Inspiration: Rarindra Prakarsa

Picturesque is one of the many words that pops in my head every time I see one of the images made by this day's feature photographer. Rarindra Prakarsa's works are much like an old master's painting stunning and timeless. Much of his work that I have seen features the colorful and tranquil life in the rural areas in Jakarta, every time I look in Rarindra's work I often feel that I should pack my bags, head out to somewhere remote and take photos of the people and encapsulate their stories in a frame.
